Aloha!

Whoa, so much has happened in these last few weeks.

We are in Kauai, Hawaii with a big group of our friends for 10 days. Its not a baby moon or anything since we are here with a pretty big group but its been nice to hang out with all our friends on a beautiful island before baby girl is born and our time is mainly spent with her. The weather is beautiful, last year when we were here it rained a lot so it was chilly most days, but this year we have had perfect sunny days!

A few baby updates, I am almost 20 weeks! I seriously can't believe how fast time has gone! I am so thrilled to be half way, its such a blessing. Its exciting to see the countdown on my phone, after 20 weeks I will be more pregnant than the weeks I have left!

Here is a picture of 18 weeks 4 days, this was right before we left...

The next picture was taken the second day here on the island,  here I am 19 weeks.

One of the first days here on the beach as I was sitting reading my book, I felt a few flutters right under my belly button. It was unlike anything I have ever felt thats why I know it was baby Turners little kicks.  :) It was settle but very distinct. Since that day, I've been wanting to feel her little kicks so badly, but haven't felt anything like that. Tonight I was sitting on the couch with Andrew and I started to feel a different type of kick this time it was lower and much harder. I told Andrew to put his hand where I felt the kick. I thought maybe he "might" be able to feel it too, sure enough a few seconds later she kicked and he felt it right away! It was the coolest thing so far! He got all excited and left his hand for about 3 more minutes, but after that she was done for the night.

Ill be posting more pictures of our Hawaii trip soon, probably once we get back home!

A few favorite things...

I have collected a few things for our baby girl in the last two weeks :)

Here is a sneak peak of my favorite items!

The baby bag is a gift from my mother in law, as a Mothers Day gift.
Its made by Petunia Pickle Bottom, simply the cutest bag ever!

A piece I picked up at TJ MAX a few days ago, you can't see it but underneath there is a cover for a diaper, its all ruffly.

And lastly, my Grandmother made these sweaters for Baby Turner. She hand knit these, she is amazing! They are so soft and delicate! Our baby will love these as much as I already do.

IT'S A ........

We are having a GIRL!!!!!!
When we were in Texas for my cousins wedding, Andrews cousin (Dr. Bowyer OBGYN) was nice enough to take an ultrasound for us and his tech confirmed we were having a little baby girl! Of course Andrew is never convinced first time around, so today we had our formal anatomy scan ultrasound and we were reassured again that we are having a GIRL! He was thrilled and I as well!
Everything was perfectly normal during our ultrasound, she looked perfectly healthy and measuring perfect for 18 weeks. :) We feel so blessed to have had a healthy pregnancy so far and a health baby. God has really looked over us during this time.

Oh and let the girlie shopping begin!

Its been too long..

My sweet cousin brought to my attention that I haven't blogged in a while, its true! I have been busy either out of town or busy around the house. Here is recap in photos of the past few weeks.

15 weeks & 2 days

I am truly the worst blogger in the world! I sometimes forget I even have a blog. From now I am going to post weekly, even if I feel lazy. :)

This week I have noticed that I am showing more!! WOO HOO, its only the thing I have wanted most since I found out I was pregnant. Its funny because my belly button is almost out too. I've never had a deep belly button so in these last few days I have noticed that it wont be long until its completely popped out!
OH big exciting NEWS! A few days before Memorial Day Weekend, we are going to be in Texas visiting my family and attending my cousins wedding and our cousin Dr. Darrell Bowyer is going to do an ultrasound for us! Ill almost be 17 weeks so we are hoping we can find out the gender of our baby! That is going to be one of the most exciting things for us. We will then be able to pick baby names and start with the baby room decoration! Ill keep everyone posted on what the results are once we know!
Here is a snapshot of this weeks progress so far, Jade also wanted to be in the picture :)

Hello 12 weeks!

I remember when I first found out I was pregnant and all I wanted was a cute baby belly so people could actually see I was pregnant. Every week I would google different weeks of pregnancy to see when I would start to show, I realized after a few weeks when my belly didn't look like the other womens at that week that everyone is different and I'll show eventually and to just be happy I can see my toes for now.

I am so thrilled to know I am ALMOST done with my first trimester, not because of early pregnancy symptoms but just because that means less time until we get to see our little one! In two weeks I get to hear the baby's heart beat again and then just a month from that appt. we might just find out if its a little boy or girl!! That day couldn't come fast enough, Andrew and I are dying to know so we can start buying cute little things for our little (already spoiled) baby.

Here are two pictures I just took of myself for belly progress.... :)

(Excuse the messy office, Andrew never cleans his office)

Baby Turners room in progress..

Sorry for the lack of attention to my blog lately, its been busy these last few weeks.
Well since we wont know the gender of our baby until the first week of June, I figured I could start with some gender neutral items to the baby room, such as books :) Andrew and I are huge lovers of children's books. We have a nice collection so far between the two of us, and we are so excited to be able to start reading to our little one! My favorite genre of books are poetry books. So of course our little collection consists mainly of Dr. Seuss books. We also have a lot of Shel Silverstein books but not all are child friendly, some are more for adults in my opinion. The Giving Tree is also among the collection and then some bible books Andrew loved as a child. We will continue to add more books over time, but for now this  is our little collection :)
